During my recent stay at Hotel Oude Eycke, I was pleasantly surprised by its charm and welcoming atmosphere. This family-run gem is perfect for travelers seeking a peaceful getaway while still enjoying modern comforts. The breakfast buffet was a delightful start to each day, with fresh croissants that reminded me of home in Shanghai, perfectly accompanied by a cozy seating area overlooking the lovely property. The attention to detail in the spacious, clean rooms-each adorned in soft blue and grey tones-made it an ideal sanctuary after a day of exploring the beautiful Maaseik area. With the Maas River nearby for soothing walks and easy access to the local cycle node network, my companions and I reveled in the tranquility it offered. A highlight of the stay was meeting the Colson family, who genuinely treated us as privileged guests, ensuring we felt well looked after. Plus, their location puts you just a stone's throw away from St Anna Church-an easy stroll that felt like stepping into history. I couldn't recommend Hotel Oude Eycke more for those who appreciate a blend of comfort, ambiance, and rich local culture.
